Expert Working Groups
A low carbon transition encompasses an individual business/building, business to business, and a wider business park approach, and from a market perspective involves the demand side (a push for resource efficient measures and tools) and the supply side (products and services that reduce environmental impact). Policy also needs to support the market and incentivise with appropriate legislation such as planning and building requirements.
Subsequently, four expert working groups were established within the SAFE-ICE cluster: market and policy conditions, business/building, business park and business to business. In each expert working group the data from the ten 2 Seas Programme projects are discussed. Furthermore, the expert working groups analyse the advantages and disadvantages of different resource efficiencies and mechanisms, measure the importance and practicality of renewables, collect details of innovative products in a low carbon market, and draw out what business support services are required to drive the low carbon market.
